And it passes. And, oh yeah, it passes. Mostly too quickly, and on rare occasions, drags on so slowly you feel as if you might go insane with feelings of anticipation and anxiety.
Overall, my life has been good. I now have two part-time jobs at a bookstore and a local animal shelter, and it has been enjoyable for the most part. I've learned a lot about a variety of different things, and I've met a lot of great people. Not that I don't have a bad day or two, but ultimately, I enjoy it. It feels good to make a positive impact on someone's day, no matter how big or small, or being able to give an animal a good home, or being able to recommend a good starter Bible to someone who may not necessarily be a believer. I try to remind myself that every little thing I do can influence someone in a positive or negative manner, or even change their life.
On another note, I started reading the Twilight series (yes,I will jump on the bandwagon), but mainly due to curiosity. I was never a fan of vampire fiction, but I thought I would give it a try, and so far, its alright. Meyer is obviously a talented writer, and she has the potential to write some great works, but the romance is almost sickening. My favorite movies are not The Notebook and The Princess Bride. In my opinion, real romance doesn't play out the way it does in movies, nor in mushy gushy romance books. I love LOVE, but my goodness, give me a break.
Anywho, that's it for now. Perhaps I will write another blog in a month or two!! ;-)

Update

Lately, I haven't shared many details about what's been going on in my life, so I have decided to give you guys an update on some recent happenings that have taken place in the past few weeks.
Those who have read my past blogs know that I used to be unemployed, and somewhat unhappy and unfulfilled with that aspect of my life. But guess what?! I am no longer jobless; I now work at a Christian book store, and I've truly been blessed with the opportunity to work with a great team of people, who in a short period of time, have become good friends of mine. I strongly believe that God put me there for a reason, and I will do my best to please him and my employer!
I was also contacted by the manager of our local Humane Society, and I went in for an interview yesterday for a shelter attendant position, and I think it went pretty well. He gave me a tour of the facility and introduced me to multiple members of the staff. Afterwards, he told me that the Board of Directors would have to approve my scheduling before he could hire me, so I'm in the waiting process. We'll see I suppose; if it was meant to happen it will!
Moving on, I have to mention how terribly hot and humid it's been in the past couple weeks! The weather has been almost unbearable. I really wish that the spring season could last all year long; it's gorgeous outside, the temperatures are moderate, and the stingy insects are still hibernating (or whatever they do on their free time).
I guess it's time to conclude my blogging, Truffles has began to chew on my fingers, hinting that its playtime. Until next time, adios!

Live from New York, it's Saurday Night!!

Let me ask you one question: Who doesn't love Saturday Night Live (SNL)?! I was watching some random YouTube videos the other day, and I stumbled upon one of my favorite SNL skits, and it got me to thinking about all my favorite skits I've seen on the show since I was a kid. How can anyone forget those "wild and crazy guys," or "more cowbell"?! Some of my favorite comedians, such as Steve Martin, Will Ferrell, or Chris Farley, started off on SNL as featured or repertory players. Here are several of my most loved Saturday Night Live sketches....
Roxbury Guys (Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan) They would have guest stars, such as Jim Carrey and Tom Hanks, to accompany them on their clubbing escapades to dance crazily, bob their heads from side to side, and attempt to pick up women!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_EXa9J_brXGY/SkPuUzQgl9I/AAAAAAAAADg/rB879GSQNGs/s320/SNLRoxbury.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5351382823370528722" />
More Cowbell (Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken as the music producer)This has become a pop culture catchphrase; enough said!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_EXa9J_brXGY/SkPwU3tQkWI/AAAAAAAAADo/5kLASEqv_Ss/s320/SNL(2)More+Cowbell.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5351385023588110690" />
Wild and Crazy Guys (Steve Martin and Dan Aykroyd) About two guys wanting to pick up 'foxy ladies' in their plaid, polyester suits and bell-bottoms! I can't even begin to describe how terribly I want to see Heaven, or how beautiful and perfect it will be. I'm not saying I have a death wish, but when the operations of this world seem impossibly tough and heart wrenching, it's reassuring to know that Earth isn't all there is, that the best is yet to come(hopefully, if God wills it to be).
I also contemplate about how cool it would be to live in some of the fictional, fantasy worlds created by author's such as Tolkien, Rowling, Stephen King (his non-creepy creations), or C.S. Lewis. How it would be in a world without advanced technology, weapons of mass destruction, vehicular transportation, etc. Living in a place such as Middle-earth, Narnia, Hogsmeade, or Gilead (as referenced in the Dark Tower), would be exciting to say the least! If you are not familiar with any of these places, here are some visual illustrations based on descriptions in the books....
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 273px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_EXa9J_brXGY/Sj6XGO-YziI/AAAAAAAAADA/KPQjdem-d0A/s320/TN-Rivendell.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349879540717506082" />
Rivendell, an Elven Outpost in Middle-Earth (Tolkien)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 234px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EXa9J_brXGY/Sj6awHlOgDI/AAAAAAAAADI/mKsgaJMWFKU/s320/narniacard1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349883558822314034" />
Narnia, under the rule of the White Witch in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (C.S. Death is unheard of, as well as conflict.
I would greatly recommend any of the aforementioned books, but it helps to be open-minded, and not over-analytical. Great characters and fantastic plot lines!

Wordless Wednesday

<img style="display:block; I thought to myself, "Oh no, I've got a rat in the house!" I got up from the couch and proceeded to make my way to the kitchen, pausing briefly to look behind me, hoping my 'guard' cats were accompanying me. To my relief, Truffles was right behind me, and I continued walking, trying to prep myself for a battle.
I peeped around the fridge, and to my surprise, I see a tiny paw tapping on the kitchen window. I then walked over to it, and peeped over the ledge and saw this squirrel hanging on for dear life tapping hurriedly with one paw and grasping the window's ledge with the other! He saw me and let go, landing on the railing of our patio, and then he just sat there. I ran for my phone to capture a video of this funny creature.
I come back and begin filming from the window, and, not satisfied with the view, walk over to our sliding glass door to get a better shot. I stand there for a second before he continues forward, and he then lays down and stretches out, obviously not worried about me or Truffles, who happened to be watching his every move, ready to pounce at any given opportunity. I end my video, thinking the squirrel was done acting out for the day. A couple minutes later, he got up from his resting position and jumped off the railing, down onto the patio. I watched him curiously as he peered around.
He then dashed over to our tiny charcoal grill, which happened to be opened, and perched on the side of the lid. I then ran to the living room to get my camera, hoping to get some pictures of him on the grill. I came back to find him hanging upside down by his back claws, just chilling out and scratching between the bars, finding some old pieces of burnt chicken from our last grill. I have never seen a squirrel eat meat, hang upside down, or twitch his tail as crazily as it was. He then sat upright, remained on the grill for a few more seconds, looked at Truffles (who happened to be sitting next to me by the glass door, licking his lips), and ran off, climbing up the nearest tree (I got a few more pics before he disappeared completely). Perhaps he had rabies. Maybe I'll see this wild critter again, hopefully from the comfort of my kitchen window :-)

Summer

Wow, I can't believe how gorgeous this Arkansas weather has been lately! I remember summer as a kid, always going to the city pool, the birthday/slumber parties, the Dairy Queen runs. Everything was so happy and carefree then. And then I grew up, and reality hit me like a ton of bricks! Once you enter adulthood, you are barren with adult worries and adult responsibilities. When you're a kid, your biggest worries usually consist of homework assignments and staying out of trouble. That sounds pretty awesome now, eh? No bills, free food, no rent. Watching cartoons, drinking soda and going to town on some pixie sticks, and then running around in circles on a sugar high. That was the life.
And why are kids so anxious to grow up?! And once they grow up and become adults, they want to be young again. Why can't we just be happy in the present? Why are we so anxious to jump to the future or delve into the past? What's that old expression? Today is a gift, that's why they call it the 'present'. Old and cliche, yes, but so very true. Cherish each and every moment you experience and grasp it like it could be the last memory of your mortal life, although I know once I reach the end of my mortal life, I won't be hanging on too hard. Heaven is gonna be spectacular to say the very least!
If I would've been more prepared, I would have got some of my childhood summer photos together and posted them on today's blog. Maybe in one of my upcoming blogs, I will scan in some old photos and include them in a 'memory lane' post. I have plenty of funny summer stories to share. I grew up alongside my cousin (brother), Lynn, and we were always getting into trouble, always stressing our grandma (and parents) out. We were the dynamic duo, lemme tell ya! I remember playing ball in the house one day (our g-ma had no knowledge of this, of course), and we accidentally broke one of her antique lamps that she had purchased back in the 50's. She then proceeded to chase us through the house with her shoe, and that was one of the few times she actually caught us. Good times, good times....
Speaking of the summer season, looked how stressed out my 'kids' have been!

Night Owl Post

Hello readers, I haven't posted a new blog in a while, so I'll give you a brief summary of what's been going on in the past week or so. Brandon and I went to Branson last weekend just to get away and have some quality time together, and we had a great time. I actually convinced him to eat at Red Lobster (he hates seafood) and I was so proud of him! He actually ate some seafood stuffed mushrooms with me :-) Couldn't believe it. I have some pictures on my cell phone of our food, I may add the photos in the next couple days.
We also went to a few outlet stores and to Silver Dollar City. He convinced me to ride three roller coaster rides, which I admited to enjoying them. I found out that praying to Jesus helped me cope with my fear of heights, lol! I told Brandon that I would ride front seats next time ;-) Bring it on.
I also hung out with my long lost friend, Becky, on Tuesday. She was in from Monecello and we just hung out and caught up on our lives. We had a blast, and a lotta laughs! We have so much in common it's scary sometimes.
These past few weeks have, overall, been very enjoyable, but I've began to feel very restless and the fear that my brain has turned to mush has been very prominant in my mind. It's nice to have free time to do what I want when I want, but that gets boring. Very boring. I really don't know what I wanna do. I would love to own some sort of business and be my own boss, but that requires lots of upfront capital. I've been interested in medical coding/billing, and as of right now, I've decided to go back to college and get certified next semester. I figure that if I can't get a job at a local billing office, that perhaps I could start my own business from my home. Either way, I think I'm safe going that route.
I continue to pray to God for guidance in my life, because I really don't know what I wanna do, but I do know that I lack fulfillment with my life as far as my career goes. I know I wanna try different things, and then again, I want to know that I'm not wasting my time. I'm terrified of failing, but if you don't take risks, I guess you never have the chance of succeeding either.
I also have to stop myself from excepting negative critisism from my peers. God alone knows my heart, knows who I really am, and who I have the potential to become. My life should only be about "an audience of One". That's hard to remember sometimes, considering my lack of self-esteem. Let me tell ya, being humble is not an issue with me!
What I DO know is that I would love a career that involved helping others, and making an impact in their lives. I'm happy making others happy. I'm a great listener, and I do the best I can at consoling the person that's hurting. I love animals. I recently learned that I do relatively well with kids. I love to write. I love nature and would love to travel the world if the opprotunity arose. I guess I'm pretty clear on my interests, and fairly clear on what I'm good at. Now if I could combine all of those interests and come up with a career option that would actually make money. Now that's a challenge :-)

My feline children!

After giving this some thought, I decided I would dedicate this blog entry to my two wonderful cats, Oreo and Truffles! You know this blog page is titled, "A Cat Lover's Take on Life," so my 'cat talk' should come as no surprise to my normal readers.
Truffles is the younger of the two. He was adopted from an animal shelter. I remember the first day I saw him, our driver's ed class decided to stop by on a whim and when I walked over to Truffles cage, he peered up at me with his big, yellow eyes and you could tell he wasn't happy there. He was barely a month old, and he was so frightened. One of the women told me that they had found him in someone's garage a few days before. I asked if I could hold him, and once he was in my arms, he wrapped his little arms around my neck and began to purr. I knew I had to take him home. I picked him up from the shelter the very next day. He rode home in my lap as happy and content as he could be.
Oreo is my older and bigger boy. He was born in the summer of '02, raised on a farm, and he's an excellent hunter. I wrote about his arrival in one of my previous blogs.
They have helped me through some pretty tough hardships in my life, and Brandon and I love them so much. I am so grateful that God put them in our life!!
Here are some excellent quotes about cats concerning their personalities, lifestyle, and how they have the potential to change your life!
"Of all God's creatures, there is only one that cannot be made slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve the man, but it would deteriorate the cat." - Mark Twain
Actually, cats do this to protect you from gnomes who come and steal your breath while you sleep. - John Dobbin
When I play with my cat, how do I know that she is not passing time with me rather than I with her? - Montaigne
"There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats." - Albert Schweitzer
No amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat, and no amount of masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch. - Leo Dworken
A meow massages the heart. - Stuart McMillan
You can't own a cat. The best you can do is be partners. - Sir Harry Swanson
If animals could speak the dog would be a a blundering outspoken fellow, but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much. - Mark Twain
There are few things in life more heartwarming than to be welcomed by a cat. - Tay Hohoff
Intelligence in the cat is underrated. - Louis Wain
"Cats are a tonic, they are a laugh, they are a cuddle, they are at least pretty just about all of the time and beautiful some of the time."- Roger Caras
"Cats are smarter than dogs. You can't get eight cats to pull a sled through snow." - Jeff Valdez
Cats do care. For example they know instinctively what time we have to be at work in the morning and they wake us up twenty minutes before the alarm goes off." - Michael Nelson

Spontaneous Blogging

Wow, its almost midnight and I'm so awake! Why the heck do I have this insane amount of energy??!
2) The Office season 5 finale was the bomb-diggity. I have only this to say: congrats Jim and Pam!! I'm sorry for the spoiler. I have no one to share my happy blissfulness with, and I have no control over my fingers at this point. I have text-ed like 3 people and no responses. I need some communication fellow night owl friends, COMMUNICATION!!!!
3) I know I don't drink enough liquids, but why am I never thirsty?! This is very strange indeed.
4) I have thrown a couch pillow at my cat(s) twice and they just fall asleep. We are never on the same schedule, never.
5) I would love to go to next year's San Diego Comic Con. Maybe we will have enough money? I doubt it, but I can dream, right?
6) I can't wait for the next sermon in our "Once Upon a Time" series at BNC, super pumped for it folks!!
7) The clock in the kitchen needs a new battery. Its ALWAYS an hour slow.
8) I wanna take dancing lessons. Private dancing lessons. So no one can see me look rediculous.
9) Mordred, our giant fake halloween spider, is in our living room floor. Why is he there? Oh yeah, because he fell from the ceiling when his little hook thing came down on me in front of the pantry.......yeah, he's not protecting the pantry anymore. The ants will take over I suppose.
10) I wanna have a fun job, a satisfying job. A job where I can be myself and help people at the same time. Can I get my own pet shop? That would be the coolest job ever. Well, besides traveling around the world and getting paid for it. That would be pretty awesome.

Time flies when you're having fun.....

It's been a while since I've posted a new blog, this week has been incredibly crazy. I have officially started my job hunt with no success yet, but we'll see what the future holds and what God has got planned for me...
I have thoroughly enjoyed serving in the nursery the past few Sundays and church events, it's been a great learning experience, and I have lost a lot my awkwardness around young children, which is awesome. This is good practice for me as well, since Brandon and I want to be parents in a couple years. It's just incredible to be able to bond with these kids and to learn so much from them and about myself! I have also had the opportunity to spend a lot of time this week hanging out with my good friend, Jessica, and her amazing kids. I have so much respect for her and what she does, she's an outstanding mother and a great friend! Kudos to you girl.....
Its so hard to believe that summer is almost here, it seems like it was just yesterday that we were unwrapping Christmas gifts. Time just flies, its absolutely insane. Sometimes during some of my most treasured moments with my husband, friends, and family, I close my eyes and try to infuse the memory inside my head so I can look back at it when I'm 60 and remember how happy I felt at the moment and thank God for it. You have to grasp those moments with your loved ones and never let go, because they won't be in your mortal life forever, and you never know when our Lord will decide to take them home. Always be thankful for His good blessings!!
At the moment, Oreo is hamming it up on the couch, trying to acquire my attention with all his might, his big yellow eyes peering up to me from between his paws, rolling around on his back, purring loudly......this country cat's spoiled rotten, I tell ya. This summer, he'll be about seven years old! That's crazy. I remember the summer that he was born, I had to beg my dad to let me keep him inside. After my persistent requests, he finally agreed that I could keep him upstairs in my room, and he gave him the name Oreo. That seems like centuries ago..... He's quite the cat though; spontaneous, mischievous, quirky, unpredictable, you name it. Wouldn't trade him for anything :-)
Maybe next time, if you're lucky, I'll dedicate a whole blog to my cat Truffles, wink wink*.
Adios!

Favorite Quotations

Here are some of my favorite quotations concerning everyday life, friendship, faith, etc.
Friendship:
Michael Scott's philosophy on friendship: "Some people need dozens of friends to say, "Hey look
at me, I'm popular," but not me, I'm very picky; I need three maybe two. When you meet that someone special, you just know, because a real relationship can't be forced. It should come about effortlessly."
"It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. Don't walk ahead of me, I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend."
Albert Camus
Christianity and Faith:
"Every day affirm: I am never alone. I can do my job well. With God's help I can succeed. I am a positive thinker and believer."
John Glossinger
"I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else."
C. S. Lewis
"There are three answers to prayer: yes, no, and wait awhile. It must be recognized that no is an answer."
Ruth Stafford Peale
"Faith is to believe what you don't see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe."
Saint Augustine
Politics and War:
"The word 'politics' is derived from the word 'poly', meaning 'many', and 'ticks', meaning 'blood sucking parasites'.
Larry Hardiman
"Wars would be a heck of a lot shorter if you threw the country leaders together and said "Have at it!"
My father-in-law :)
Life Lessons:
"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on."
Robert Frost
"Be as smart as you can, but remember it is always better to be wise than to be smart."
Alan Alda
"Turn your stumbling blocks into stepping stones."
Anonymous
"He was a 'how' thinker, not an 'if' thinker."
Anonymous

Can't sleep? Write a blog.

Well, it's another late night/early morning, and I can't sleep. Here are some thoughts floating around in my head.....
1) Oh boy, I can't wait to wake up in the morning with strep throat! Perhaps my grandmother will have some spare antibiotics!
2) Truffles looks absolutely adorable curled up in a ball next to me on the couch.
3) My fish always look like they're starving and on the verge of death.
4) I have coffee tomorrow with my BNC peeps! Maybe I can drink a cold coffee.
5) I can hear Brandon snoring from our bedroom :-)
6) I have such wonderful friends, I enjoyed our late night chat Miranda! You crazy girl :-) Martha, thanks for being a good listener and for making me laugh unbelievably hard!! And Jess, I get to see you tomorrow!!!
7) What a sweet and thoughtful email that Pat sent out to everyone. It was a great reminder of what God wills us to do and what he wishes and expects us to do!
8) Perhaps tomorrow will be better walking weather. Martha and I got rained out today! Lol.
9) I am so blessed to have such a wonderful, loving husband who enjoyed discussing the Heroes finale with me tonight. And no, I wasn't pleased, and neither was he. Haha.
10) My ten thoughts were not in chronological order. My thoughts are like the dust cloud that surrounds Pigpen (Charlie Brown). They are all jumbled up and proceed to come out my fingers.
I am going to bed, praying that our good Lord will remove this ache from my throat.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://senewman.blogspot.com/2009/04/cant-sleep-write-blog.html' title='Can't sleep? Well, here we are on blog three, and I am clueless to what I will write about, but here goes!
Lately, I have really noticed how contagious a smile is as well as a bad attitude! Today, Brandon and I were running errands and we went into a couple of furniture places and to a mexican place to eat. Wow, I guess you have to be waving some Benjamin's in the air or something to get some satisfactory service around here, I can't believe how rude some sales associates can be! I guess they just looked at us, decided we were too young to have any money, and decided we weren't worthy of their time. I hate furniture shopping for this primary purpose. I can't believe some of these local businesses are still operating.....
Moving on, my husband's birthday is next week and I don't know what I'm gonna get him. Probably nothing, considering he just picked out his birthday order a few days ago, ha ha! I imagine I will cook all his favorite foods and make him a cheesecake or something. That's simple enough. It's really the thought that counts, right?
Also, I thought I would share something humorous with my reader(s). When I take a bath, my super smart cat, Truffles, will sit on the side of the tub and attempt to drink the bathwater I am soaking in. My reaction is either to flick some water in his face, shoo him away, or push him into the floor. It's as cute as it is ridiculous I suppose, teehee!
Oh, and I saw an interesting movie last night. It was titled "What Dreams May Come" and it stars Robin Williams, who is killed, and goes to 'Heaven'. His wife is overcome with grief and kills herself and is sent to hell. He then decides to travel to hell and rescue his wife. The movie portrays an interesting concept of Heaven and Hell, the rules and the boundaries of what you can and can't do once you get there, the process of getting where you're going, etc. I didn't agree with a lot of it, but it still makes you think. I would give it 3 or 3.5 stars out of 5 anyway. Worth your time, give it a try if you get the opportunity to rent it.
And, with the suggestion of my friends, I watched the very first episode of season one of 'The Office' last night on Netflix, and I liked it. I laughed. I wish I could work in an environment like that. I totally have the quirky, wierd personality to work in an office like that!! I'm hooked already. Thanks guys :-) Hehe.
Ok, I'm done. Have a great weekend!

Wowza...

Here we are on blog two, hopefully I'll have more readers after I send some emails out to my contacts in my address book, ha ha!!
Well, this week has been an interesting week. My husband and I were baptized on Sunday in front of our family, friends, and our church congregation, and let me tell you, it was so exhilarating! We were so nervous and excited about proclaiming our love for Jesus Christ and making that promise to him in front of all our loved ones and our church, but it was so worth it; although we were previously saved, we both felt so cleansed and renewed spiritually and emotionally. Brandon was baptized when he was younger, but he wanted to renew that promise to God and make that step with me, and I couldn't be happier that he made that decision! It was an amazing experience, and I am thankful for all the love and support we received in the process :-) We also got to meet our pastor, Shannon, and we had the pleasure to watch him preach live at our campus, which was awesome!
Moving on, my cats have been true heathens this week. Truffles woke me up about 4 am this morning yowling and howling, and eventually, I had to get up, scoop him up in my arms, and talk to him to calm him down. I don't know what's gotten into him.
Also, Oreo has been acting up when the neighborhood cats come to see them at our glass door. He has never had an issue with them before, but he has been hissing and growling at them every time they sit on our back deck. I know he's being territorial, but his aforementioned actions were pretty spontaneous.
I've also been wondering when Stargate Universe is scheduled to air. I guess I need to go to gateworld.com and see what I can find out. I miss Atlantis and SG-1 :-( But I'm excited to mention that MGM is supposedly working on a new SGA movie, so I'm pumped to hear more details on that project! Another thing I'll be researching.....
And I really want a hedgehog, they are one of the cutest things ever. If you agree, you need to go to YouTube and watch the Boogie Boogie Hedgehog video.
Adios!

Once Upon a Time.....

Well, this is my first blog post....so where to start, eh? I guess I will begin to summarize my life at this moment without being TOO descriptive :-)
I'm a happily married 22 year old housewife and the proud parent of two crazy feline children. I grew up in Agnos Arkansas primarily and went to school in Salem. I got married to my high school sweetheart (we were actually the first engaged couple out of our class) and best friend. I am thrilled that we are just as close, if not closer, than what we were when we first got married. God blessed me extraordinarily in this aspect of my life, as well as multiple aspects of my life.
I'm also a self-proclaimed Christian and know that everything in life happens for a reason, even the bad stuff. Speaking of my religious status, I go to an awesome Baptist church named Brand New Church (BNC) that has dramatically changed my life and successfully renewed my relationship with Jesus Christ. If you would like any information on BNC, check out their website at brandnewchurch.com!
Anywho, if you are still hanging in there, I will continue on this blog mission with a description of my hobbies and interests.....
I'm a passionate animal lover. I love cats. And yes, I know they're stuck up. And egotistical. And self-serving. But I love them, their personalities are so random and unique. They were my playmates when I was a small child, maybe that would explain my obsessive fascination over them.
I'm a science fiction buff. Stargate is great. The 4400 is great. Heroes is great. Taken is great. I think you get the idea.
It seems like politics in some shape, sort, or fashion always works its way into a conversation, so I will lay this out on the table: Independent party. I claim neutrality!!!!!!!!!!!! End of discussion.
I'm an Italian cook and I love me some spicy, Italian food! I'm also a sucker for some ole' southern country cookin'; I could eat cornbread, pinto beans, and bacon every week. But if I see a lima bean in anything, I will politely push the dish away and excuse myself. I got so sick when I was a kid because of those things, long story. I might elaborate sometime for your pure enjoyment.
And there you have it; some random facts about me. I am tired of typing, so I will conclude this infant blog and bid everyone a good morning, good evening, and goodnight.
