My feline children!

After giving this some thought, I decided I would dedicate this blog entry to my two wonderful cats, Oreo and Truffles! You know this blog page is titled, "A Cat Lover's Take on Life," so my 'cat talk' should come as no surprise to my normal readers.
Truffles is the younger of the two. He was adopted from an animal shelter. I remember the first day I saw him, our driver's ed class decided to stop by on a whim and when I walked over to Truffles cage, he peered up at me with his big, yellow eyes and you could tell he wasn't happy there. He was barely a month old, and he was so frightened. One of the women told me that they had found him in someone's garage a few days before. I asked if I could hold him, and once he was in my arms, he wrapped his little arms around my neck and began to purr. I knew I had to take him home. I picked him up from the shelter the very next day. He rode home in my lap as happy and content as he could be.
Oreo is my older and bigger boy. He was born in the summer of '02, raised on a farm, and he's an excellent hunter. I wrote about his arrival in one of my previous blogs.
They have helped me through some pretty tough hardships in my life, and Brandon and I love them so much. I am so grateful that God put them in our life!!
